The short answer
Scout52 runs academy recruitment in one place. Scouts send match reports from their phone, every report lands on one player record, and the recruitment team sees fixtures, coverage, trialists and Talent ID events as they happen. Each club gets its own version, with its badge, its report template and its age groups. It’s in daily use at professional academies.

Sound familiar?
Most academies still run recruitment the same way. A scout fills in an online form after the game, someone exports it to Excel, cleans it up and builds a dashboard. It works, but it costs hours every week and things slip through.
- The form can’t save a half-finished report, and fixing a mistake means sending it again, which creates duplicates.
- Names are typed freehand, so the same player or club turns up spelt three different ways.
- Someone spends hours every week cleaning the spreadsheet before anyone can use it.
- The dashboard is only as fresh as the last refresh, and every extra person who wants to see it costs more.
- Nobody can say quickly who has watched a player, how many times, or which clubs have had no one at their games.
- Copies of the spreadsheet get emailed around, with young players’ details sitting on laptops.
What’s in it
Match reports from the side of the pitch
Scouts write reports on their phone. Teams and players come from the fixture, so names are spelt right. Reports save as drafts and can be edited after they’re sent.
One record for every player
Every report, trial, Talent ID event and contact sits on one player record. Possible duplicates are flagged before they’re added, so you always know who has seen a player and how often.
Fixtures and scout assignments
Grassroots and academy fixtures in one calendar. Send scouts to games, see which priority clubs and leagues have been covered, and spot the gaps before the weekend.
Lists and depth charts
Longlists, shortlists and targets for each age group, with your priority positions marked on a depth chart so everyone knows what you’re looking for.
Trialists
Follow every trialist week by week: sessions attended, staff feedback, medical forms and the decision at the end, whether that’s sign, extend or release.
Talent ID events and Pre-Academy
Families register online for Talent ID events and Pre-Academy sessions, the registers are ready on the night, and the outcome is recorded against each player.
Live analysis
Reports, coverage and scout activity update as reports come in. There’s no export to clean, no dashboard to refresh and no paying for each person who wants to see it.
Set up for your club
Your badge, colours and web address. Your report template, rating scale, age groups and priority leagues, all set up for you before your scouts log in.
How it starts
- Get a demo login. Send us your name and email address and try the system yourself, with made-up players.
- We set it up around your club: badge, report template, rating scale, age groups, leagues and priority clubs.
- We bring your current lists in. Squad lists and player spreadsheets are imported, so nobody starts from a blank page.
- Your scouts sign in on their phones and add Scout52 to their home screen, so it opens like an app.

Frequently asked questions
Who is Scout52 for?
Academy recruitment departments at professional clubs, from the Pre-Academy up, and any club that wants its scouting in one place instead of forms and spreadsheets.
Do scouts need a laptop?
No. Scouts use Scout52 on their phone in the browser and can add it to their home screen. The recruitment team can use it on a phone or a desktop.
Can we keep our own report template and grades?
Yes. Each club’s version is set up with its own report template, rating scale and age groups.
Can we bring our existing data across?
Yes. Squad lists and player spreadsheets are imported when your club is set up, so your scouts start with the players you already know about.
Who owns the data?
Your club does. The club is the data controller and Scout52 is the processor, with a data processing agreement signed when you join. You can export or delete your data at any time.
How can we try it?
Send us your name and email address on this page and we’ll set up a demo login, with made-up players, so you can try it at your own pace. Or email info@scout52.com and tell us what your club needs.
Is this the same as Scout52 Apps?
No. Scout52 Apps is a separate set of everyday tools for individual scouts and coaches. The club version on this page runs a whole recruitment department.
